Splinter Cell [Post]Classics - They Don't Make 'em Like These Anymore...

CHM Tech

After a long time, we're back with a new episode of Splinter Cell Classics! Well, to be more accurate, it's ''Post Classics'', since this one is a bit different.

Recently Sam Fisher made an appearance in a Ghost Recon Wildlands special mission, so I think now is as good a time as any to talk about this iconic Ubisoft gaming franchise.

They don't make 'em like these anymore. But hopefully, that will change!

Splinter Cell was the reason why I subscribed to you in the first place :)

@chmtech

Played it!

@sameimiller8335

If you like stealth then I would recommend the dishonored games if you haven't played them

@-_Nuke_-

Well, games like pandora tomorrow and chaos theory looked and feeled more reasonable and "believable" than this game. In the actual classics, you are in total darkness (therefore the enemy is just holding a flashlight therefore it's reasonable that he can't see you) and you have night vision or thermal vision and he doesn't. In this game, you move in plain sight and nobody can see you... Nobody buys that shit anymore... We want back the true splinter cell we all grew to love, where complete darkness was our true ally. Fisher was not supposed to be known, kill or ever leave the darkness in wich he was raised and trained. His job is to get in, get the intel, maybe execute some very specific individual targets and then get out, not massacre every living being in the area. So we don't want a Solid Snake game, we want a splinter cell game, where the fun is not shooting the enemy not the other way around. Plus these green lights on Fisher look insanely bright and blurry at the same time... Ridiculous...

Ubisoft Ubisoft said in the last E3 that they are working on a new Splinter Cell. I really hope it will be like Chaos Theroy.

@Space_Reptile

this aint the splinter cell i renember , the one i had in mind was chaos theroy

@_Swink

Blacklist is an amazingly fun game!

@Kwotzi

I actually think Splinter Cell isn't that far out of Ubisoft's business model. If you look at Far Cry 5 or any recent Ubisoft game for that matter, they're all still singleplayer driven just with some microtransactions thrown in there. Sure it's mostly the bland open world and franchises that are basically guaranteed to sell a ton, but let's look at Wildlands. I don't think the Ghost Recon franchise was ever that mainstream and Ubisoft still invested a shit-ton in it. Ubisoft is still capable of making Splinter Cell attractive enough to the point where it can warrant another game, at least. I think Blacklist already laid down a foundaiton for a modern Splinter Cell game, basically most the stuff we expect in a modern Ubisoft game are already in there.

@Reyon2099

I remember subscribing to you channel in 2015 mainly because you posted Splinter Cell videos. I really haven't been supportive by watching your other content, but everytime you post something about Splinter Cell I watch it. Keep doing your job, man. You rock!

@ComaradComisar

Blacklist was really good, there's literally one reason why most fans don't really like it as much and it's becasue of the lack of Michael Ironside as the voice of Sam. But the game itself has nothing to be ashamed of compared to the older ones.

@MrEcho58

Grt Vid.gets my like and a sub

@danindewatir383

Yo, I need the full gameplay video like this, I will watch it! It's amazing stealth spy gameplay, you finished the game without killing anybody!! Because I'm tired of those stealth-killing videos!!

@chmtech

Played it!

@FlorianHostemisterff1

@chmtech

@whatyoulookinat255

Where you from

@mattaecus

Thank you sooooooo much!!!

@DjoTiger

if splinter cell was a competitive game like pugb or something similar like other online games it would be the number 1 in the world not because this will make it better , it already it is .. but because this will give it the chance to be known from everyone so they will know how great it is because usually ppl play competitive games like league of legends .. etc more then other type of games

@blackligxt9413

its always so nice to see someone else play these missions in their own way, almost like doing it again for the first time

@pradhyumnad7304

iam a huge splinter cell fan, and appreciate and can relate to all the sentiments that u express to the franchise and sam fisher, i HOPE we get a nice SC game, gr8 channel bro, and this is the only vid i have seen from ur channel, oh man when u said iam a splinter cell kid, i was like me too!!

@QwibQwib

Man, I remember when I played Chaos Theory for the first time thinking "Oh, it's a stealth game. Boring shit" and after a while I fell in love with the game, the mechanics, the narrative and everything else. After finish that one I played the first two games and I haven't touched any other SC since then (Well, double agent on PS2 but it was a bad port imo)

@Peylix

I love the SC franchise. Recently, just played through all games (sans PT) on my PC. I miss this franchise a lot. I hope Ubi brings it back. But I also don't want them to bring it back as I personally do not trust today's Ubi.
